Gluten-Free Fruit Kebabs

Juicy, Sweet Treats That Scream Summer Vibes

Do you ever want a more entertaining way to eat fruit? I get bored of it just sitting in the fridge in containers and if it isn’t cut up, I will never eat it. So, these little fruit “kebabs” are a super simple hack to getting all of that fruit in your fridge eaten.

These can have absolutely anything put on them. I will usually go for seasonal fruits but sometimes I will turn these into a little charcuterie situation if I’m feeling it.

Some fun options I’ve found are peach sliced and mozzarella balls, watermelon and mint leaves, and strawberry and basil.

While I love these for snacks, I have used them for appetizers and people have always thought they were so fun! Rather than a fruit salad, this fun finger food option is a crowd pleaser!

Gluten-Free Fruit Kebabs

A fun appetizer or a great new way to get your daily fruit in, you decide.

Prep Time: 15 minutes     Cook Time: 0 minutes     Total Time: 15 minutes     Yield: 8 kebabs

Ingredients

  • 1 cup strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 1 cup pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup grapes
  • 1 cup watermelon, cubed
  • 1 medium banana, sliced into thick rounds
  • Optional: 2 tablespoons melted dark chocolate or honey for drizzling
  • 8 wooden or bamboo skewers (6-8 inches long)

Instructions

Prep Work:
  1. Rinse your strawberries and grapes under cool water, then pat them dry with a towel.
  2. Hull the strawberries and slice them in half. Cube the watermelon and pineapple if they’re not already bite-sized, and slice the banana into thick rounds.
Creation:
  1. Thread the fruit onto the skewers in any order that sparks joy.
  2. Aim for 5-7 pieces per skewer, keeping them snug but not squashed.
  3. If you’re going fancy, melt the chocolate (microwave in 20-second bursts) or grab the honey, then drizzle it over the skewers with a spoon—zigzags are best.
Serving & Storage:
  1. Lay the skewers on your platter.
  2. If you drizzled chocolate, pop them in the fridge for 5-10 minutes to set it, or chill the whole batch for a few hours if prepping ahead.
  3. Store leftovers in the fridge, loosely covered, for a couple days.
Tips:
  1. Switch up the fruit lineup—kiwi, mango, or blueberries bring more color.
  2. For a kid-friendly spin, sneak in mini marshmallows between fruit if you’re not keeping it strictly healthy.
  3. Drizzle hack: Warm the honey slightly if it’s thick—it’ll flow easier!
